Covid 19 Departmental Guideline
Portes LIthos Luxury Resort attaches great importance for the health and safety of our guests and employees. We have undertaken and developed a strict hygiene protocol and regulations, in order to provide a healthy and safe environment. Starting from check in and the entire duration of holidays, guests are welcomed by trained staff using appropriate equipment and following all mandatory protocols. We would appreciate guests to comply with all COVID 19 health regulations according to protocols, applied by our Government and the World Health Organization. The following measures have been implemented for the safety of all guests and employees.
FRONT DESK
- We have created an additional front desk waiting area dedicated to new arrivals.Where possible contactless service
- Where possible, contactless service,
- Physical and social distancing with floor signs, as per covid-19 protocols.
- Two-way systems to control traffic in order to avoid guests bumping each other.
- Polycarbonate shields installation between guests and associates while providing services.
ARRIVAL
- Check-in time 15:00. Contactless guest’s temperature is taken upon arrival.
- Means of Personal Protection (MPP) – such as masks and gloves – are available in room upon request during check-in
- Guests are required to maintain distances as applied by the signage.
- Check in is provided with safe distancing by staff, using MPP. Masks and gloves are changed regularly.
- All equipment in reception is frequently deep cleansed and disinfected by our staff, including room cards, POS and high touch surfaces.
- Door handles, surfaces and buttons are regularly disinfected.
- Hands free sanitization stations are available.
DEPARTURE
- Check-out time 11:00
- Bill settlement preferably to be made in advance, following all social distancing measures
- Sanitization stations available for guests are available in all public areas for disinfection.
PUBLIC AREAS
- All public areas are severely disinfected with care in high-contact areas.
- Social distancing is applied in all areas, for guests and staff safety.
- All areas are operated at reduced capacity to ensure social distancing.
- The boutique and shop are operated with social distancing applied and MPP.
- Guests are requested to use hand sanitizer upon entry and exit of public toilets.
- Guests must follow the elevator guidelines and not exceed the permitted persons allowed. If possible avoid using the elevator.
- Ventilation of all indoor public areas with air recirculation.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
- During all meals food is served in buffet.
- Hand sanitizer, disposable gloves and masks are provided at the entrance and all guests must disinfect their hands and use gloves and masks.
- The choice and service of food is possible to be done by guests, using gloves and masks.
- Guests are required to sanitize their hands before and after leaving the restaurant.
- Menus are adjusted to increase options of cooked food rather than raw.
- 2-metre space between each table for safe distancing as per protocol guidelines
- Hard copies of menus of Food and Beverage outlets are sanitized, prior each presentation.
- Only one family per table to dine on one time.
- Frequent disinfection on all surfaces after and between each reservation.
- Restaurant is deep cleaned and disinfected every night.
- Hand sanitizers are located for guests use in all areas and disinfectant wipes available for personal items.

HOUSEKEEPING
- Daily service is operating normally.
- Guests are requested to vacate their rooms during housekeeping.
- Once the room is cleaned and sanitized, a sticker is placed outside the room door indicating so. The room is not provided to the guest unless this sticker is intact upon arrival.
- Daily deep cleaning of high contact items such as door handles, switches, fittings and furnishing.
- Rooms are sanitized with special disinfection equipment.
- When possible, we allow a 24 hours gap between the departure and the new arrival in the room.
- Rooms will be sanitized with a aerial surface disinfection machine.
- When possible, we will allow a 24 hours gap between the room that has checked out to the room checking in.
- All paper forms in the room have been removed. The hotel directory and any other information are available via the room TV.
- Masks and gloves are available for all guests at the reception desk upon request.
- We provide hand sanitizer dispenser in all rooms.
- All interiors are completely and strictly disinfected.
- A/C air vents and filters are regularly disinfected.
- Staff is using and change regularly all appropriate Means of Personal Protection.
- Staff is trained on all up to date covid-19 protocols.
- Non-residents are not allowed in guest’s rooms.
MINI BAR
- Mini bars are disinfected accordingly before arrival and all replacement items are sanitized.
MEETING ROOMS
- Meeting room’s capacity is reduced to 50%, with a distance of 2 meters between guests.
- All equipment is sanitized before and after use.
- Meeting rooms are sanitized after use.
ENTERTAINMENT
- Live music, entertainment and animation are available with social distancing in mind.
SHOPS
- Maximum capacity according to available space of particular store.
- Queueing and appropriate social distancing measures applied.
KIDS
- All precautionary measures are taken using protective equipment and frequent disinfections.
- Daily outdoor animation will be in accordance to the health protocols.
- Kid’s activities are taking place only at designated outdoor areas.
- Kids using the outdoor playground must always be accompanied by an adult. Social distancing and sanitization is required.
- Children are required to sanitize their hands regularly.
SPA – WELLNESS
- Guests are required to sanitize their hands before and after leaving the spa area.
- Guests must use Means of Personal Protection, where possible.
- Deep cleaning and sanitization are required between sessions.
FITNESS ROOM
- The gym is in operation with all enhanced cleaning and sanitization procedures
- Pre booking of the gym will be required.
- The gym is sanitized and disinfected after each guest use.
- Fitness equipment is in appropriate space so as social distancing will be applied.
- Sanitization stations are available for guests.
TRANSFERS
- Hand sanitizers are available for guests onboard.
- Driver and guests must use masks during the trip.
- Vehicles are disinfected after journey, including door handles.
- The driver is ensuring the natural ventilation of the vehicle.
BEACH AND POOL
- The beach and pool have been organized according to social distance.
- A safe distance of 5 meters between sun beds.
- Sun beds and equipment are disinfected between each guest use.
- Beach towels are available in guest’s room.
- Water quality controls and analyzes are applied in pools and beach.
- Guests are required to follow the instructions for showering before using the pools.
WATER SPORTS
- All health protocols are applied.
- All equipment is disinfected after use.
EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN IN PLACE
- All staff trained on covid-19 protocols.
- Procedures and protocols in place in case of a guest infection.
- Quarantine rooms available.
- Room service will be provided to quarantine rooms.
